Game Guide - Olympics

Overview

Creating/Managing
Your Squad

Earning Points

Winning

Olympics Fantasy is a game where you are expected to put a lifetime of training to the test and win a gold medal in every sport.

Just kidding. Relax. Leave the sports to the athletes; you go do your thing: be a rockstar at fantasy games. Create your League of Nations. Earn fantasy points. Win prizes.

Here's all you need to know:

There’ll be one event each day. And prizes to be won every day.
You need to pick a bunch of countries and form your “League of Nations”, each day.
You’ll earn Fantasy Points based on the medals won (and any records set) by your countries on that day.

Also, each event has a few “Circles” and “Free Zone” (which is the free game). And every circle has its entry fee and tons of cool prizes. So the more you play, the more you win.

Creating your squad? Making changes to your squad? Here are three things to keep in mind:

SLOTS
Each country in our roster has been assigned a value between 1 to 6 Slots. You get a total of 16 Slots. And you need to pick a minimum of 7 countries to create your squad.

LOCK-IN TIME
Please ensure that you create your squads before the mentioned “Lock-in” time. The scheduled start of the first sporting event on a day is considered as the Lock-in time.

EDITING YOUR SQUAD
You can edit your squad any number of times until the Event is locked. But do remember, in the case of a tie, the squad that was finalised earlier wins, so it’s better to create your squad as soon as possible.

You earn fantasy points (FPs) when a player (or a team) from a country wins a medal or sets a record.

Here’s the points system for Olympics Fantasy:

Medal Points

For every Gold Medal: 100 FPs
For every Silver Medal: 75 FPs
For every Bronze Medal: 50 FPs
NOTE: Medal points are awarded on the day winners are announced and not on the day podium ceremonies are held.

Bonus Points

For every World Record set: 100 FPs
For every Olympic Record set: 50 FPs
For selecting 10 or more countries in your squad: 10 FPs for each country.

NOTE: Points for records are awarded on the day they are set. Records set across all rounds of a sporting event are considered for scoring. A world record set will not be considered as an Olympic record for scoring.

When all events of Olympics 2016 on a day have concluded, we add up all the FPs earned by the countries in your squad.

If your squad has the most FPs, (drum-roll) you are the winner.

If you don’t have the most FPs, (sarangi music) the squad with the most points is the winner.

And yes, for the record, the squad with the 2nd highest number of FPs, comes 2nd. And so on.

In case of ties, the squad that was finalized earlier wins.

All those who have won prizes will receive an email (on their registered email id) with details on further course of action.
